Apple Picking!

Saturday was the perfect apple picking day! After spending some time packing, we took time to spend some quality family time together. We went apple picking with Grammy and Grampy and then went back to their house to bake 3 apple crisps! YUMMY! The apple orchard that we went to had horses and a whole petting zoo. Sydney enjoys looking at the horses from a distance, but has no desire to pet them. =)
We did have a little difficult time picking apples due to the hail storms we had this summer that dented most of the apples. We had to work hard to find some good ones. Sydney was really into it this year, and knew not to pick the "yucky" ones.

checking out the horse from a distance
This horse was huge~a little intimidating for Sydney!
time to pick some apples
I pick this one~definitely my favorite!Had to sample them!
(yes Sarah, another outfit to go along with the event =) lol) Not sure what's up with this stance~little attitude.
sampling yet another one
"Here I am guys!" "Guys" is her new word lately.
The bag doesn't look very full....maybe we are doing a little more eating than picking?
Mommy lifts Sydney up high~that's where the good ones are.
Running from tree to tree to find more!~seriously, another picture?~ you know that's what she is thinking =)
Grampy, Sydney, and Daddy
Grampy helping her get the good ones way up high!
Sydney didn't waste any time to start baking...she got her stool, dug right in the bag and began washing all the apples!
Kept her busy for a while!
Grammy and Sydney read the recipe together.
pouring in the ingredients
What a sneak! She stole an apple covered in sugar and cinnamon!
YUMMY!
