Swim Lessons

Monday Sydney started her swim lessons. She takes them at the local Y every Monday and Wednesday for a month. If she doesn't completely learn how to swim after the next month~which is what I expect, but at least she will feel more comfortable in the water. I would love her to learn so I won't have to teach her next year when I am juggling a baby as well during the summer, but she is still young and might not learn this young.
On Monday she did have a great time in the pool. They taught the kids to sit on the side of the pool and wait for their parent to tell them that they were ready for the children to enter the pool. We practiced blowing bubbles in the water, and kicking our feet. We had some time just to get them more comfortable in the water and then toward the end they worked on how to get out of the pool by themselves by pulling themselves up from the side of the pool.
Sydney did a great job and was starting to feel comfortable in the water, but just wasn't comfortable enough yet to start blowing bubbles in the water because on her first attempt she got a mouth full of water~she kept her mouth open. That turned her off from trying it again.
On Wednesday (Grammy Days) she will be going there with Grammy. I will go with them the first time to show her where to go, so I will be able to take more pictures tomorrow.

She got a new bathing suit and towel for this special occasion!
