Fun Free Fridays in Boston!

Well, we took advantage of another free Friday even here in good old Massachusetts! The Boston Children's Museum had free admissions! Being who I am I took over 130 pictures, but for your sake I didn't blog everyone of them, just a couple 25 or so =) I had to though, it was such a huge place and so much to do! Because it was free, it was PACKED! They have so much for children of all ages to do. They even have a special room for children under 3 to do activities so they don't get trampled by the older children. Will, Sydney and I had a great family day together!

As we waited in line outside Sydney got to view the ducks in the river.
She's patiently waiting to go into the museum.
She started to get tired....if she only knew the 4 hours of fun that awaited her inside!
The bubble room! Instead of making bubble with these objects she pretended she was washing the dishes~only my child =)
Making BIG bubbles!
Sand tables for the children!
~this is reminding me a lot of teaching preschool so far~ =)
filling her containers with sand
She climbed the tree! Picture time of course!
So this is the room for children 3 and under. This is more of the "relax" room with manipulatives. Sydney took ALL of the chairs in the room and placed them around this "nest" (that's what we called it in childcare) and placed stuffed animals on it. She never truly got to finish what she wanted to do because some child would either take one of the animals or a chair away from her little gathering. She did get upset when someone interrupted her little circle of friends, but she moved on quickly and adapted to the missing chair or stuffed animal.
She staring down this little boy who came into her circle of stuffed friends.
Time to pose with Buster the bunny from Arthur! I think they look alike~minus the ears.
This was a room to discover your 5 senses. She is discovering her sense of hearing.
She really enjoyed this part of the room
This part of the room was to see what it would be like if you were blind. They had you put something to cover your eyes and gave you a cane and sent you down a path with turns to see if you could navigate your way through. They also had this seeing eye dog out so the children could see that they help the blind. Sydney is an animal lover~so not like her mother!
Time to build something.
Of course Daddy jumped in to help build too!
Time to build with pipes.
Once again, Daddy couldn't stay away~child at heart.
This was in the construction room. The kids go to build and crawl through huge pipes!
Sydney driving her car down the hill
through the tunnel

Now Sydney amazed me on this one. I thought she would be too young to get the concept of building things with the shapes.
She didn't let us help either, just wanted to do it by herself!
Daddy and Sydney work together to build a house. Maybe that will be our house we will live in someday!
They are two of the best construction workers I have ever seen!
This is a picture of the front of the Boston Children's Museum.
On the way back home she wanted to finish watching her movie she started watching on the way there. Her eyes are getting sleepy!
Didn't take very long for this to happen!
What a long and wonderfully busy day!
