Library Day

This summer at the library they have encouraged the children to read at least 5 books a week, and if they do they get a prize the following Tuesday. We blew past the goal of 5 books within one day! I think it's very sad that some parents don't even read 5 books to their children in a course of a day never mind a week! That's why I love the library here~it has encouraged Sydney to read even more than she already had. This week she had gotten a coupon for a free pizza from the local pizza shop, a book mark, and a painting/coloring page.
This summer they of course are learning about the ocean and the beach. This week they made a beach scene. It's definitely more product than process for their projects, but it's still nice for them to be able to do for the children. Will loves coming too on his days off. It makes it a lot easier for me when he does. It is difficult to help Sydney with Savannah in my arms.
Savannah is going to get us kicked out of the library someday with her happy squealing that she does! Thankfully no one has said anything to us yet.

Looking just like the ocean~except her fish is on the sand. Maybe there is bacteria in the water and the sea life is dying :)
