Christmas festivities with the family

Tonight there were Christmas festivities that go on in my sister-in-laws town every year. This was our first year that we have attended with them seeing as we didn't live there before. It's nice to be able to get together with them and let Sydney and her cousins hang out together and have fun. They have a Santa come in on a wagon pulled by horses while the local high school band plays Christmas songs. The Santa then goes inside where all the children get to sit on his lap and talk to him. From there you move on to play a "bingo game" where you go around to the local stores in the town and they stamp your bingo card. Each business has food and beverages too~Yummy! In each store you can also enter the raffles for free and then at the end of the night you all meet in the local fire hall where the drawings are done. No one in our family won, but there is always next year! =) All the kids, and adults had a great time~eating candy and cookies and meeting Frosty, The Grinch, and Rudolph!

My niece Josette, and Belle, and nephew Tyler, and then Sydney
So Sydney was FRIGHTENED of Santa!!! We have never taken her to see Santa (we aren't pushing the Santa) but since he was there we thought we would say hi. She clung to me so much I didn't even have to hold onto her. She buried her head into me and wouldn't even look at him. Santa told me to sit on him. My thought was this was one crazy Santa....having a 9 month pregnant lady and a 3 year old on his lap!!!! Everyone thought it was great~Mrs. Clause even gave me a Santa hat to wear for pictures (it fell off in this picture). I enjoyed a good laugh, but Sydney wanted nothing to do with it!
Sydney did love Frosty! Every time we saw him walking down the street she wanted to chase after him!
The Grinch...I liked him =)
We took a ride on the wagon with the horses and Sydney was holding her nose because she thought the horses stunk! LOL
Good thing the sign says "do not touch" and what is Sydney doing of course?!? This is a typical sighting in western PA
We spotted reindeer!

Side note: It's so nice to hear people telling other people "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" around here. Just a another reminder of why we moved out here. People aren't afraid of not including everyone or being politically incorrect, but keeping the true meaning of the holidays alive.
