When we got into the room she jumped right into the chair and she was so happy to have that bib on her =) The dentist was great with her. He explained everything he was doing and all the tools he was using. Sydney's response was, "oh, ok, that's what happened in my Dora book." She brought her Dora dentist book with her to read in the waiting room as we waited. He told her that she was doing a great job and a wonderful patient! He asked us if she is always this cooperative at home? Will and I both looked at each other and chuckled and replied "most of the time." =)
She got a clean bill of health! No cavities! All of her baby teeth are finally in, minus her 2 year molars. The dentist confirmed what we already knew~that she has an overbite and a deep bite. It was due to her sucking on her blanket. The dentist told us that when looking at her back in March, and we took her blanket away right away. He said it might correct itself as time goes on since we took it away when she was only 2 1/2.
He was very impressed with how she behaved and how great her teeth looked! He could tell she (we) brush twice a day. He was telling me foods she should stay away from in order to prevent cavities. He said that raisins was one of them and I informed him that we have never given her raisins before because I knew they stay in your teeth and cause cavities. He was impressed that I knew that =) (Go me~I should have gotten a free toothbrush for that one!)
Sydney practicing with Daddy on how to open her mouth for the dentist.
