The library-what a treasure!

Yesterday was the last story hour at our local library until the summer~June 8th. All of us really enjoy going there. Sydney is making friends and learning how it will be like in a classroom setting with circle time and having to pay attention when it comes to doing activities. Today was a special ending to this segment of story hour. At the end or reading books pertaining to finding treasure they had set up and obstacle course for the children to go through in order for them to find their treasure waiting for them at the end. At the end was a treasure box. The children each got a chance to go into it and find~ A BOOK! The library supplied each child a book for them to have! For an organization like that that runs off of donations, I thought what they do weekly is great and then for them to give each child a new book was amazing! I am so thankful we have such a wonderful library in our town!

Sydney crawling through the tunnel...

this is the destination!

She made it! She found her treasure~a book!

All the children sitting waiting for the project.

Doesn't she look thrilled! :)
They made flashlights for their heads for when they go searching for treasure! :)

They are going to be starting a Mommy and Baby time in the fall~that way Savannah has something geared more toward her. Although she too loves going to the library. Before story time began Sydney, Savannah and I were lying on the ground reading a BIG book together. Someone commented how that would be such a great picture~I should have busted out my camera :) Even during story hour she will listen and adds her own little comments (shrieks and squeals~even though it's a library they don't seem to mind~thankfully)!
