We began our Easter Weekend actually Friday~on Good Friday. Our church had a special service that evening that we went to. Then Saturday morning we all got to sleep in until almost 10!!! It was nice to be able to sleep in, but then had to rush to get out the door so we could head over to my sister-in-laws town for a HUGE Easter egg hunt! The hunts were divided up into age groups. Sydney and my niece Belle were in the 3-4 year
olds. I didn't register Savannah to do one~not like she could have eaten the candy in the eggs, but I didn't realize her name could have been put in for a drawing for a bike! The egg hunt lasted a whole 2 minutes and all the eggs were gone! After all the children got their eggs, we headed over to a gazebo where they were pulling names out for bigger prizes. Sydney's name actually got called and she won a basket with a bunch of Crayola art supplies inside!
After our egg hunt we went back home to do several
preparations for Easter that we still had yet to get done. I was able to steal my other 16 year old niece to help :) We baked cupcakes and then some coffee cake for our Easter Breakfast at church. After both girls were in bed my niece and I spent some time soaking our feet with some of my new Mary Kay products and watched a movie! It was a great end to a very busy day!
They look thrilled~and hot! No that's not a crime scene behind them...that's to mark the boundaries for the different age egg hunts.
Belle and Sydney

Savannah brought her basket just
in case....and by brought, I mean she carried it!

Off she goes....notice all the other parents helping~
ridiculous! Let your kids just have fun!

She was doing great! Got
soooo many!

She found candy!

Yummy!

Opening their goodies!

Sydney and her cousins~Tyler,
Josette and Belle

Time to bake cupcakes!

She did well cracking the egg.....

but, then she dropped the whole shell in, but after she pulled it back out~not one piece of shell was actually in the cup!

In goes the oil.

My niece Dayna and Sydney fill the cupcake papers.
